Urban Swish'r Top 10 New School Rappers

With the game changing drastically there's a
new group of rappers hoping to take over the scene
Hence......"The New School"

10. Diggy Simmons
Rev. Runs son, Diggy has jumped on the scene and at 15 hes only looking to progress
9. Pacific Division, better know by, Pac Div, is a rap trio from Southern California.

8. Raz Fresco
Toronto's very own!  Also at only 15,  give this kid a few years and he'll be a beast.  Already getting notice he has produced tracks for fellow new school-er Mac Miller.  Not to mention he produces most of the music he raps over...Toronto Stand Up!

7. XV
Xv Aka Vizzy hails from Kansas, he first gained major attention after the release of his twelfth mixtape Everybody's Nobody.  With most of his records produced by Seven be on the lookout for this album somtime in 2011

6.
Chiddy Bang
This is a duo from
Philadelphia, just one rapper and a producer.  Their sound is based on the fusion of hip hop and unique sample choices from alternative leaning artists such as Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Passion Pit, and MGMT.

5.
Mac Miller
This Pittsburgh native
is the second top 5 MC from the steel city.  Mac has been flying under the radar but with his 2010 release of his mixtape "K.I.D.S." & being invited on tour with Curren$y and friends for their Smokers Club Tour.  He defiantly deserves a mention.

4. Curren$y
Now don't get it confused Spitta been around for a while dating back to the early 2000's with Master P, however this dude seems to be one of the leaders of this movement. An OG if you will.

Peep this single from "Pilot Talk 2"

3. J. Cole
Currently Signed with Jay-Z, this new school-er has shown a Drake like approach with the ability to sing and rap.  However where he exceeds Drake is his ability to tell stories and promote deep thought with his heavy metaphors and linking verbage.

Who Dat?! Who Dat?!

2.
Big Sean
Another New School artists signed to a heavy label with some serious co-signs.  This time its G.O.O.D. music label founder Kanye West whose found some serious talent.  With swag on another level and trend setting that could possible match Kanye, this should explain his position.

1.
Wiz Khalifa
Young Khalifa has taken the hip hop community by storm.  After only a couple mixtape releases he dropped his critically acclaimed "Kush & OJ".  Now with a hit single "Black & Yellow" hitting the top of the charts we over here at Urban Swish'r are wondering, what can this youngster not do?  Its extremely difficult to have a smash single without any album to attribute that to.  Uh Huh....You Know What It Is! Wiz did it!
