When we arrived at The Sound Academy (about 2 hours before the doors opened) there was a line up all the way down the street. Crazy right?
Yelawolf, who was opening up for Wiz Khalifa started at around 9-9:30ish. He was only on stage for about 45 minutes and did maybe 6 songs. About half way through Yelawolfs set he decides to bring a (most likely) groupie on stage to further prove his point. She starts dancing and the rest is history.
At this point we are waiting for the main event, young Khalifa himself. He didn't come on to do his set right after the opening act, it was actually more like 10:30 - 11ish when he started rocking. In between sets fans got restless and started chanting "WIZ! WIZ! WIZ! WIZ!" but all was forgiven when he started performing some favorites. All the fans got into it and in the end everyone had a good time. Even Drake showed up around 11:30 hanging out in the VIP. What made it kind of suspicious, was a couple weeks before the concert Wiz turned down an invitation to tour with Drake because he wanted to do his own thing for his own fans. That's Quite respectable on Khalifas part, however for a rapper from Toronto that blows up so quickly and is never seen around his home town of Toronto makes this suspicious. Drake is probably wondering why he declined, and is asking himself what's so good about Wiz Khalifa's tour? And to see Drake in his own city at the concert of the rapper that just declined a multi-million dollar tour with him, is bizarre. One thing is forsure....Taylor Gang shut down T.O!!
