A Tribe Call Quest
A Tribe Called Quest, a crew that was formed in 1985, has made me wonder where the jazz snares/beats and infused poetic melody has gone. Not even being born in that era and understanding the trial and tribulations each song narrated made me feel like people don't change but scenarios do. Growing up and just humming to the melody as a 9 year old, playing with his G.I Joe and hearing do..that..do that do do that that that is still something that lingers with me and other people, definitely one of the most intelligent artistic groups of the 1990's. Don't get me wrong the tatted, and hair whipping artists are cool, but it doesn't make you feel or think about real things after you hit pause, its just not the same. People might have forgotten the classics like Award Tour, 8 million Stories, Check The Rhime, which are for ever classics. The group is regarded as iconic pioneers of alternative artists music, having helped to pave the way for innovative hip-hop artists. Reminiscing on the past is a great thing with historical group like these guys. Its A SwishAward Tour

Journey Of Mr. Rager
This is the first part of a 20 min documentary that comes with the deluxe version of Kid Cudi's new album on iTunes. This album is alright but does not live up to the expectations of his first classic.
Either way visuals are dope

RALPHY BOY- GET IT!-Artist Review
RalphyRalphy Boy Profile
Ralphy Boy’s music is his way of drawing a picture with words. Born the son of Haitian parents in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn and although growing up in such an ill neighborhood Ralphy was able to be expose himself to different environments and cultures which allowed him to pick up different talents and crafts such as sketching, photography but more importantly, music. His choice was not only a way for him to be his own man and escape his father’s shadow but also as a way for this once shy young man to break out of his shell and express himself without any limitations. Although, the inspiration has been a part of him throughout, it wasn’t until the sudden death of his father in 2008, when Ralphy decided to take his music career more seriously.
The passion in this Brooklyn Hip Hopper’s high pitched voice in addition to his use of charismatic rhyme schemes, well crafted wordplay, relentless flow, head nodding instrumentals and catchy hooks gives listeners the feeling of the raw Hip Hop enthusiasts of this genre have grown to love and miss dearly. As a storyteller, Ralphy gives you his life of love, pain, anger, happiness and being fly in such a way no artist can but that everyone can relate to. Within each song you learn something new about not only Ralphy Boy the artist but the man as well.
Ralphy has some of the mid 80’s showman’s ethos that permeated hip hop during that time. Evoking the spirit of old school legends like Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Dana Dane & Kool Moe D, Ralphy is on a mission to make sure his audience has much as a good time as he does. In this world of hipster rap where looking cool often seems to trump moving the crowd, Ralphy’s audience first approach is refreshing to say the least. Its a swish

GUITY VICTUM x URBANSWISHR SPREAD
Guilty Victum X Urbanswishr "Men Behind The Brand" Spread
Toronto, Ontario-Wednesday, November 10, 2010- Interview on Guilty Victum members Adrian and Emmanuel. This is a spread on what they think about the industry and how the GV came to be, along with their inspiration behind their clothing line.
We had contacted them about an interview 3 weeks prior to the date and decided to make it fun and natural, so we decided to hold it somewhere we would all be familiar with, and thats Humber College.
On October 27,2010 we had decided to conduct the interview with the upcoming designers from Guilty Victum who's work will soon be remembered for the bold colors and great kente patterns.
The spread was to find out who these men are and find out what their purpose is as artists.
Adrian Nixon and Emmanuel Boakye are members of Guilty Victum family and are sole traders of the Guilty Victum brand name.
